this is completely contradictory to the complaints of the role of the govt in the clean up effort.

and please post the posts of what he CAN do..this I gotta see

edit: I found one from an ardent obama hater:

is that what youre talking about?

It's never been in doubt that this oil spill is not the biggest in world history. If Rush's argument is built on the false premise that this spill was somehow the biggest on record, and that our hero Rush was debunking this myth, then yes, he is providing "fact."

If his estimates are based on 15,000 barrels per day, then it's just a fucking guess. My response about Limbaugh making hyperbole is based on his political posturing and innate lack of actual care for what's going on in the gulf, and his spinning of facts for political nitpicking.

i dont give a damn when oil is spilled across the globe. it pisses me off when it washes up on our shores. lets throw a couple hundred oil soaked dead birds on limbaughs lawn.

the main difference between this and 1979, is the drilling rig fell directly onto the wellhead in 79.

Here is the context too, retard. It had nothing to do with the argument about the size of the slick.

There was never a question of that. It is the worst in U.S. history.
Get your argument straight.

It's contradictory to the left-leaning critics. The conservatives are not criticising his lack of effort, but instead are critdising his desire to take credit for any successes (see the announcement that the cap worked hours before his speech by his admin, not BP...also see the quote "daddy did you plug the hole yet?"), his continuous statements that he's "been on this from day one" and that stopping the leak is his number one priority, only to find out that a) he hasn't been on it and b) he spends his time golfing or whatever else, and of course he'd rather litigate and legislate as a result of the spill. All these are ways he's put himself into the middle of it. Oh, and he's hindered efforts as well.

Here is a recent one from today

I don't know what "the fact that you would ask says it all" means. He's not wrong

I just did some research, and the iraqi oil spill was indeed a lot more. 462 million gallons at the highest estimate on wikipedia.

It's what Rush said, and you suggested that what he said was wrong.

Therefore, you questioned it.

You went off argument.

How are you qualified to say such thing?

Is stupidity determined by assuming you know more than you do, or using history as an example?

The iztoc spill covered hundreds of miles of US beaches. It was gone in 5 yrs.

I don't care whether it's the MS delta, or wetlands, or whatever, the earth will cleanse itself. It will not be around in 30 yrs, just like it wasn't in Alaska, where you could assume hte breakdown and cleansing was significantly slowed due to extreme cold temperatures.

I think the main difference would be that the depth of drilling was only 150 ft.

Oh, and the fact that more oil was spilling from it on a daily basis.

Oh, and that it spilled for 8 months.

One of my clients were talking to his friend.. Their duck lease is dead. he's fairly certain the ducks wont come back for a LONGG time.

does your 401k appreciate BPs stock falling because of their negligence in causing the spill?
