The Gulf Oil Spill: a perspective

You just don't read our complaints do you.

Our complaint with Obama...he lacks leadership, and he's trying to act as though he's taking responsibility for the cleanup (by interjecting himself into this whole mess) while not actually doing anything at all.

To simplify even further for you, he:

a) lacks leadership and
b) lies

As to what the definition of "leadership" is, there are plenty of posts floating around about what he can do. Hint: it doesn't mean he should be controlling the cleanup effort.

Now I ask, what is so hard to understand about this? We say it over and over again, but you keep saying the same thing as if you've never read anything we've written...exit question: do you read what we write?

what they did wasn't criminal , the govt officials were there all along and approved their actions.

Based on what ? BP has already sent out checks. Of course a lot of fisherman are suing to get MORE money.

Im not sure the ecosystem will recover. just because you can wash the sand off on some faraway beach DOES NOT mean you will be able to do the same in marshes. christ almighty. Ive heard from sources that it might be a century before the habitat comes back-- excuse me-- if it comes back.

are you fucking simple or what? there is NOTHING more they can do to stop the leak until the relief wells are completed. the blowout preventer has taken considerable damage, but bless that thing if it didn't hang in there. they aren't attempting to control the well because if they do that, they are worried the pressure will increase and rupture the BOP/ wellhead casings. If that happens, we are truly fucked. thats why they havent tried really hard to get a super seal.

I never suggested that what Rush said was wrong. I implied that something is inherently misguided about you for cheering Rush in his political spiel.

The ecosystem will recover, just as it has every other time, and that is why I bring up past spills. Bigger more damaging spills are barely a memory now.

Did those happen under the tenure of a president white supremacists are trying to discredit by any means possible? No.

Data baded on falsified claims of oil leak to avoid even more overwhelming outrage?

Riiiiighhht.

Oh and forget the lovely plumes of oil rising 5000 feet through an ecosystem to be spread into a slick the size of a state.

They weren't near the Mississippi delta. Stop using a logical fallacy: If it happened down in Mexico where the coastal ecology is different, it is not the same as it happening on the gulf coast of the United States.

I suppose you can research each spill to see if it's accurate, but it provides an interesting perspective.

this will be the most damaging spill we have ever seen. I can't believe how fucking stupid you are.

you will be finding oil in the marshes 30 years from now. at least.

What about this?

I'm not cheering the "political spiel", but rather cheering the idea of having a little perspective. It's amazing what you'll find when you step back and look at it.
