The Grudge 2

lol i just saw the trailer and i thought it looks stupid, no way i will see this in the cinema i will wait until it comes on dvd and i will rent it. Most of the trailer was just flashes and the boy was seen a couple of times and you hear like a scream, yeah like we have never heard a scream before in a horror movie trailer, it looked so stupid i think. It looks like SMG has a small role in this movie and her sister takes over the movie, thats what it looks like to me in the trailer.

I cant wait until Friday when this film is released in cinemas...

Its my birthday on sunday so me and my frienRAB are gonna watch it then.

One of my frienRAB doesnt wanna see it, hes so scared of horror films. Im like "GET A GRIP, ITS NOT EVEN SCARY!!" LOL

Is anyone else planning to see it Friday onwarRAB...

The Grudge 2 opened at the top of the US box office chart over the weekend, relegating The Departed to second place.

Takashi Shimizu's horror sequel stars Amber Tamblyn as the sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar's Karen as she tries to get to the bottom of the mysterious curse. The film took $22m in its first three days.

Down 31% on last week's takings was The Departed, Martin Scorsese's thriller based on Andrew Lau's Infernal Affairs, which earned $18.68m over its second weekend of release.

Entering the top ten were Robin Williams comedy Man of the Year, The Marine and One Night with the King.

The top ten in full:

1. (-) The Grudge 2 - $22.00m
2. (1) The Departed - $18.68m
3. (-) Man of the Year - $12.55m
4. (3) Open Season - $11.00m
5. (2) Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning - $7.75m
6. (-) The Marine - $7.00m
7. (5) The Guardian - $5.85m
8. (4) Employee of the Month - $5.60m
9. (-) One Night with the King - $4.33m
10. (6) Jackass Number Two - $3.33m

This sequel is a load of crap!!... SMG is in it for all of 5 minutes and is then killed (she is thrown off a roof). With her dead it really does go to show you that she held the first film together (which I loved) because the sequel is terrible without her.

It's the biggest CON since Jamie Lee Curtis being killed at the beginning of Halloween: Resurrection.

Both have completely misleading trailers... Where as The Halloween trailer led you to believe Curtis was in the whole film but actually wasn't... The Grudge 2 trailer literally tells you that Sarah Michelle Gellar's character dies in the movie, so I don't want any "why didn't you put SPOILERS in the title post!?" type replies in here, thank you very much, because they spoiled it for everybody else!... so I have gladly kept the tradition going!... Rant over.

the fillm was good but did,t u not find parts a bit boring
like when in went to the american and schoolgirls storyline

i found aubreys story to be the best
but the 1st was way better IMO.

but yea the ending+ SMGs chase was brillient.
cant wait to see this one unrated

A couple of bits were slightly dull but some of the scenes were extremely good such as the girl in the phone box and all the hair surrounRAB her and who could forget Karens death which was amazing.

Sorry I have to say that I found the film utter utter rubbish, the acting was more wooden than a tree, I didnt jump once (which is unusual for me because I jump at the drop of a hat !), and I thought that the ending of the film was never going to end it just dragged on and on.

I didn't enjoy it either. Jumped at a couple of moments near the start, but the effect soon wore off when it became the case where one 'scary' scene followed another which followed another. The acting was quite wooden and as a whole the film just didn't keep my attention for long. Wasn't as good as the first, IMO.

The Film was terrible! It completely spoiled The Grudge Franchise! It had no credibility and it wasnt scary, to be honest it was more comical than scary! I found myself laughing all the way through at the pathetic attempts to scare the audience, They failed miserably with this one.
Also it was all over the place, it never focused on one story there was about 3 overlapping which was very confusing!

AVOID BY ALL MEANS! GARBAGE!

I watched this tonight and as soon as it finished felt compelled to comment....

What a pile of crap, I cant believe I wasted over an hour watching this rubbish, it was a terrible patched together story that made next to no sense,

0/10.

Yikes, old thread. I said two years ago I wouldn't rush out to see this, and to this day I've never had it inflicted upon me. But I love this remark:SounRAB like it's totally faithful to the first one in my opinion.
