Just watched it for the first time on film4 and I have to admit it...I sobbed like a baby!!

It was so sad!!

Very. I saw the film first and adored it, thought I'd give the book a try, and the director of the film did well at sticking so close to the book.

The book has a few more flashbacks and extra bits on the beginning and end, but apart from that, they're very very similar.

I missed it again! it has been on a couple of times over the past few weeks and i keep realising it's on about an hour into the film. i'll have to keep better look out for it.
