The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed - Episode Discussion

I finally saw the episode. I thought Ralph was the first character to be censored, but I was wrong. Sacha Baron Cohen's character at times sounded like Dr. Nick.

Before the tour guide's niece was introduced, I thought they brought back Krusty's daughter. And I liked the interaction between her and Bart. Karate! Krav Maga!

They were going to travel free, but Marge insisted they pay their own way. That led to one of Homer's moans, followed by an even louder moan when Marge insisted he puts pants on. And that was followed by the aforementioned instant classic from Lisa. :D

The best thing about when the Simpsons travel (or go anywhere really) is how half of Springfield seems to follow them to that exact same place. I just love that about the show.

IIRC, in this episode they got to travel for free. I can never keep track of what's going in his job situation, but Homer sure has to be the luckiest person ever.

Sacha Baron Cohen was hilarious. I can only imagine some of the stuff that got left on the cutting room floor. I'm guessing like Albert Brooks, he improvised much of his dialogue.

I was glad to see a Homer/Ned story, we haven't had one of those in a while. I enjoyed it even if it was bit all over the place and some parts fell flat (especially didn't like the sequence with Bart and the girl fighting).

Loved the actual fiddler on the roof, as well as the Israeli Transformers movie.

Oh and "the man hates pants" is an instant classic. :D

Last night`s episode was pretty good. It is the best Homer/Ned episode i`ve seen in the last few season. Plus we can add Israel to the list of countries that the Simpsons has visited along with the UK, France, Italy, Australia, Japan, China, India and Brazil.

The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed
Episode #MABF10

"The Simpsons are going to..." Jerusalem, when Ned invites Homer along on a church retreat, only for Homer to retreat to the hotel buffet most of the time.
