The Graham Norton Show

It seemed a bit toned down to me .

where was the crazy internet stuff ? a couple of pages from a charlotte church forum was hardly hilarious .

and the audience were left out .

I don't think we're going to get very much of the Channel 4-style antics any more!!

The Beeb seem to be phasing that part right out. It's getting a bit mainstream!!

Graham also had a show called 'The Bigger Picture' for BBC2 which was full of quirky items. Shame more of this material hasn't been integrated into the chat-show format.

I think The Bigger Picture was on BBC One, but it was a little more irreverent and less populist than his most recent series.

Still, it's early days for his new Friday night timeslot. Graham is always worth a watch.

It's strange that I can find out future guests from other countries and not from Britain. BBC used to promote Wossy better than they are promoting Graham. They still have not added the guests for next week's episode yet, but I have found out from BBCAmerica:

So so far what I know is that these are the people booked for the next three weeks:
Episode 2: TBA, Lee Mack and James Blunt
Episode 3: Johnny Knoxville, Joan Rivers, TBA and The Pet Shop Boys
Episode 4: TBA, Rhod Gilbert and Rihanna

I am not sure if the solo music artists will be Third Chair candidates or if they will be just performing.

Also this Australian article says that future guests this half-series include Daniel Radcliffe, Justin Beiber, Bette Midler and Lucas and Walliams.

LOL. I remember the antics with the hand-held metal detector and the audience member's 'Prince Albert'. There was also a camera put down the boxer shorts to make absolutely sure of the hardware!

Well Tonight's episode is with (surprisingly) Alan Sugar, Pamela Stephenson, Lee Mack and James Blunt.
While there is no change at the moment for next week. The week after's complete guest list has been confirmed to be Colin Farrell, Daniel Radcliffe, Rhod Gilbert and Rihanna.

I think Graham is starting to attract the bigger guests now. I'm a bit stunned to see Alan Sugar's name on tonight's guest list as I didn't know that he liked Graham's show.

One thing I've noticed is that while last week's episode only had 3 guests with Charlotte providing the music, the next 3 episodes will have 4 guests including a music act. I guess with the move to Friday they needed to make certain small changes. I wasn't certain if James Blunt would have been 3rd chair, but I thought Rihanna would have been and not be only the musical act. I thought she was fairly well known,.

now that was fantastic, mid-proposal too

EDIT: Got them twice.

Classic show tonight, excellent guests, and Lord Sugar was brilliant, i didn't expect him to have a funny bone in his body, but amazingly i couldn't stop laughing at most if not all of his jokes.

I got the feeling Lee Mack isn't really a fan of Lord Alan. It seemed a bit awkward quite a few times :p

He seemed like quite a funny guy actually. I can't stand him on the apprentice so wasn't expecting much so was quite suprised.

Can't wait for next week. Joan Rivers AND Pet Shop Boys :D:D
