I think it's safe to say you are in for a treat when you do. Great movie. Great soundtrack. Which I too bought and usually dust off whenever I've watched the movie again.

Aren't RHCP the band in the movie?

hey you guys! I'm currently on holiday touring round the pacific north west, and quite by chance found myself in Astoria Oregon a few days ago which is where they filmed the goonies! I was so tempted to do the truffle shuffle outside the goonie house but figured that the owners must be really fed up with people doing that. It is a really pretty little town. Apparently kindergarten cop, free willy and The Ring 2 were also filmed there.

Most of my dvd collection is films from the 80s as thats when best films were made. Love the Lost Boys and RoboCop and The Goonies , Police Academy , Gremlings, nightmare on elm street to just name afew.

They dont make movies like they use to.

Fright Night is very underrated. Fright Night 2 is ace too.

Anybody seen The Lost Boys 2 yet? It came out in America recently straight-to-dvd and a mate of mine who downloaded it tells me it isn't very good but i still really want to see it. I was hoping it'd be a cinema release but i guess if it's straight-to-dvd in the US the likelihood of it getting a release in theatres over here is slim to nonexistant.

Adding on with movies not mentioned so far...

The Burbs
Repo Man
3 'O Clock High
Rocky 3 + 4
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
