Great news for Goonies fans :D

I just heard on the radio that The Goonies 2 is being made/written or something! woohoo...don't know much mroe than that though :(

Perhaps someone else on the board might know more..maybe watchall or someone who seems to always have the film news? :)

Hummm........... even though i loved the first goonies film, i think it will be hard to make the second film just as good. Espcaly if Chunk and Data are not in it!

But if this is true, i hope it will be worth the wait!!!!!!! Slaugh rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :p :)

Thanks for that Exulus, hadn't heard anything about that before. If I find anything out about it I will let you know.

Just introduced one of the kiRAB to it at Christmas when I taped it, he thought it was great. I do intend to get it on dvd at some point.

sadly he's got a slightly different shape to the one he had in the goonies.
the truffle shuffle might not work as well now :(

Just found this on the web http://www.moviehole.net/news.php?newsid=1148

Feldman talks "Goonies 2"

Corey Feldman was on E! Star BoarRAB and gave the lowdown what's happening with "The Goonies 2". Says Feldman, "Here's the deal: We've talked about it. We've had discussions about it so many times through the years. One time, Richard Donner called and said, "We're going back to work." With such a diverse group of talented people, you want to make sure [everyone can come back together]. You don't want to make a crap sequel, or you'd rather not do it all."

Feldman also touched upon his next movie. "I recently did Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. It's a comedy, a very charming romantic comedy. It's a morality story about a former child actor who grows up to be kind of a loser. He never really got through the final hoop--people really beat him up. There are cameos by tons of former child stars", he says.

And what about another Coreys movie? (with Haim). "I think the fans would definitely dig it, but the timing has to be right, personally and professionally. At some point, though, I'd love to do something magical with Corey again."

Josh Brolin has said that a Goonies sequel is not in the works.

The No Country For Old Men actor co-starred in the hit 1985 film with Corey Feldman and Sean Astin.

Speaking to Extra, the Oscar nominee said that there are currently no plans to make a Goonies follow-up.

"I saw Steven Spielberg on the street about a month and a half ago, and I asked the reality. I hear there is a script, yes, but there's no talk about doing a 'Goonies' sequel at this very moment," Brolin said.

He added: "And that's the first time I've been truthful about that answer... ever."

It'll probably be heavily CGI'd, made for 3D cinemas and be crap.

I hope it never gets a remake or a sequel.

they are doing it a lot at the moment there all that talk of ghostbusters 3, remakes of the ninja turtle films, i refuse to watch the new karate kid movies as i love the originals, tom seleck has said they are doing 3 men and a bride the 3rd installment of 3 men and a baby....thats how classics get ruined :(
