"I loved you for 13 years" to Leo :thud:

And the whole Slumdog cast looked so freaking excited it was cute.

Seeing the ovations that Heath Ledger and Mickey Rourke got tonight made my night. Well deserved for the both of them. Glad Kate won her two awards (although I have been pulling for Angelina or Meryl).

Im super glad Kate got Two Awards. The gal DESERVED every part of those GG.
Now oscar's here she comes! Hopefully Leo win's too because together - both of them in RR.
Is OSCAR!Worthy.

Ditto! And everything she said to Leo in her 2nd speech was just amazing! :sigh::love:

That's EXACTLY what I came in here to do.
Kate totally deserved it and so did Slumdog Millionaire!!!

:woot:

I'm very glad that Kate won two awards and that Heath won as well! :yay: I have not seen their movies that they won for yet, but they must be good.

I am SO happy about The Wrestler's two wins, Mickey Rourke for Best Actor and Bruce Springsteen for Best Original Song. It was an incredibly film and Mickey, Marisa Tomei and my favorite actress Evan Rachel Wood, were all phenomonal. And how great was Mickey's speech and Darren Aronofsky's subsequent middle finger

I'm also pleased about Slumdog Millionaire winning 4 and Kate Winslet finally getting some love. I don't necessarily agree with her win for The Reader, but I thought she was great in Revolutionary Road. I also agree she was totally robbed for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Overall, I'm glad I skipped studying for midterms in favor of watching the Golden Globes. Next up, SAGs & Oscars :)

Well the only one I can comment on are Supporting Actor, Heath Ledger obviously and Animation Wall-E :D

A lot of these movies hadnt even come out when the nominations were made :look:

For Best Motion Picture - Drama - I'm really torn, IDK how anybody is gonna decide - Frost/Nixon, Revolutionary Road, The Reader, all incredible movies

Comedy - Burn After Reading

Actor Drama - Sean Penn or Leo

Actress - I want Kate to win because she deserves the recognition but Meryl Streep is in the running so it will be hard

Supporting Actor - Heath Ledger definitely

Supporting Actress Kate Winslet

Foreign Language - Baader Meinhof Complex

I'm hoping for Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Heath Ledger, Miley Cyrus.
But my favorites never win. :pout:

I can't make any predictions yet because I haven't seen all these films yet. But once I do, I'll be on it!

.......... And the only movie on that list I've seen is The Dark Knight. Apparently I'm really behind. :look: Anyone got any suggestions for me to catch up? :D

Man, I haven't seen ONE movie this year. A lot of them will start screening in here next week week.

I'm quite interested in the Director category, a lot of talent there.

Great list! I hope I can see a few of the movies and post some of my picks soon.

I'm going to put in some early predictions---I've yet to see a lot of these movies, but am definitely going to start working on that immediately. All of my predictions are subject to change :)
