The Godfather has officially been dethroned

When the smoke clears and everything has calmed down we all know that all of this comes down to opinion. Eventually it will even out and TDK will be considered a great movie by the general population. I thought it was great but I don't think it lived up to the hype. Ledger's performance did but the movie as a whole didn't. Once again, my opinion.

very few movies are great. then when one comes out and exceeds all expectations, everyone but a few rotten assholes say it's good. look at ariez for example

same here. i gotta go see journey to the center of the earth first cuz i got free tickets

i was kidding about the godfather being shit though

normally i wouldnt

but the dude died

btw, speaking of auciences... i saw the movie once in downtown DC at 11:30pm, once in suburbia at 7:30pm

holy fuck the suburbians laughed at gay ass shit

I just don't see it happening. Look up "City" in the phone book in 30 years and give me a call. I'll gladly admit I was wrong if people are still putting The Dark Knight on their top 10 movies of all time.

Im generalizing, but you see my point right? I love the movie, thought it was the best film of the year, but make one criticism about it and BAM, bunch of pussyhurt fanboy come defending the film like I just killed their God.

For the record I always knew Heath was a good actor and I stated he would get a nomination as soon as the first trailer came out (Before Ledgers death). (Too bad rabroad deletes old threads because I wish i could resurrect that thread to show how the same people that said I was a stupid moron for stating are sack riding Ledger's performance). Its probably the same people that called him a "brokeback faggot" when it was announced he will be portraying the Joker.
