A) Even he doesnt know his background which makes him THAT much scarier.
B) He uses his scar to scare people, and make up different version each time he tells it to relate his "victims". Notice how he used a male charecter for the crime boss, but a female charecter for Rachel Dawes?

fuck yea, it was the kind of movie that never dragged. the third LOTR was great, but the last 30 hour just dragged so badly, in this movie no scenes dragged at all. Action and dramatic scenes at all. there were times i thought the movie was gonna over but still they had more room to build more suspense and action and it fit perfectly
