HI just about to watch this movie. Your views on it. Is it any good? i know a great acter in Harrison Ford is in it.
Only cost me 3 pounRAB in my local tescos so least i didnt spent lots on it.

One of those movies l could and have watched many times.

l'm a fan of the original series too, and wasn't disappointed with the movie.

If you like the movie, you might want to take a look at U.S. Marshals, if you haven't seen it.

What made a significant contribution to this film was that the lead cop wasn't portrayed as the usual sub intelligent life form, Gerard questioned the fugitives guilt from the start.

A refreshing difference

"Alright, listen up, people. Our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 4 miles-per-hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him. "

Truly great movie, both Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones put on great performances.

I actually have a weird obsession with this film. It's one of those you can watch again and again while still enjoy it. The score is great and the suspense keeps up right from the train crash to the hotel scene. As already mentioned Jones is fab (he won the Oscar that year didnt he?).

On the subject of US Marshals. I thought it was actually panned a little too harshly when it came out. Obviously it was compared to The Fugitve but as a stand alone action/ thriller it does pretty good. You aren't watching it for Snipes' character, your're watching because you want more from Sam and the boys (plus Rose from LOST). I liked Downey's role as well. Not as predictable as you'd expect.

Sadly not. l think the last time was on Timewarp Bravo in the early to middle 90s.

l know it's on DVD, but l would love to have it air on TV again.

My hope was when CBS merged with the Zone channels, it might turn up, but at the moment they seem to be scared to show any B&W material, like many channels.

There's a huge library of B&W shows that get aired on various classic channels through-out the World, but at the moment not in the UK.

The whole series was shown here in Ireland on RTE around the time of the release of the Harrison Ford version!
I will order the dvRAB from amazon.com,they are region 1 but i have a region free dvd player!

Ah the Fugitive - what a fantastic film. I totally agree with the poster who thinks that Tommy Lee Jones steals every scene - he is brilliant in it.

I seem to remember reading a review of this recently (maybe in the Radio Times) where someone suggested that the film would have been even better had Lee Jones and Ford switched roles - I think I agree with this - what do you guys think?
