I recently bought a 2002 Saturn Vue, and lately the front of it has been squeaking like crazy. It basically sounds like an old house creeking. It hasn't been in any accidents to my knowledge. It it something that can be fixed with a little grease, or should I take it in?

Does it squeak when it hits a bump? Or just when it is running (engine running).

If it squeak with bumps then it is part of the suspension. Yes it can be fixed with grease. But you have to pretty much grease ALL joins in the front suspension.

But if it squeaks when the engine is running, then it is the fan belt that is loose or worn and need replacing. Don't use any kind of "belt treament" spray as they on mask the sound and eventually you will have MORE trouble from the loose belt.

Good Luck...
