I was looking forward to seeing this movie as it came out in the states on the 14th i went into the local odeon & the told me its not being released here till February! Whats the point in releaseing a horror movie in Februay, im not a happy bunny.

I had no idea until a few weeks ago that a remake of The Fog had been made.

I have the original on DVD but not got round to watching it, it must be a good 15 years since I last saw the film. I would not mind watching the remake, but I cannot see it being better than the original. Just as long as it is not as bad as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, then it should be ok.

RobCole2004, the movie industry should take a long, hard look at the release dates of films in every country. The Fog gets released in the U.S., you can probably get a pirate copy of it now from downloading it from the net. I love going to the cinema to see films, even remakes with new stars (especially the gorgeous Tom Welling) but that is why cinemas are suffering, when they release a film over in the States and it takes another 4-6 months to come out over here.

I saw this the other day and no, it's not as good as the original but it does hold up pretty well. The ending was a bit twee and cliched but the pace was good and there were a few nice set pieces. Not a classic by any means, but not at all bad.

Went to see The Fog last saturday (my friend I am visiting in the US has one massive crush on Tom Welling!) It's a pretty average thriller flick (horror it certainly ain't) - there were a few bits that made me jump but I wouldn't rate it up as one of the great movies of all time. Still figuring out what hollywood sees in Maggie Grace too. She's reasonably pretty but way too thin and can't act.

However if you like Tom Welling removing his shirt lots, then this movie is for you
