The Fall of Troy

yea, that is the one song that sucked me into TFOT. But once I started exploring them more, I realized most other songs actually have hella sicker riRAB. It does have the pop element which differs from a lot of the other stuff.

I was going to see these guys this summer until they decided not to do the Warped Tour. Now I probably won't go at all, since the only banRAB I would really want to see would be Bad Religion and Big D and the KiRAB Table. That hardly justifies the 4 and half hour drive to Salt Lake (one way). And the only other band I would even want to see at all would be Tiger Army, but they aren't that great.

Anyone heard of The Fall of Troy? They're a sick three peice band and they have that feel--very quick, non-linear. They just released their new album "Manipulator" which is a bit slower and more compliant with the classic verse/chorus style assiciated with rock. There's alot more classic influences, and even some blues influences.

they SHRED. Basically what makes this band stand out is the sheer speed and technicallity of their musicianship. If you're into this type of music, you'll be blown away by the band. Dont listen to semi-fiction, its not a good example of what this band is about; which is shredding and tearing faces off. Check em out

Edit: I'm durab

oh ok cool, it seems like they just keep pushing it farther and farther back so I figured since ghost ship VI? was featured on manipulator that they were going to just start releasing all of the songs separately.

Soo, the way things are looking...by April The Fall of Troy should release 2 EPs. One of them being very aggressive and screamy, somewhat like Excreations and Sledgehammer type stuff..and the other going the opposite direction with no screaming. Im really looking forward to both..the non screaming should be interesting. We've heard 2 non screaming songs on Manip, but Im almost positive that the songs on this EP will be very different than both Caught Up and Oh, The Casino!?..this info is just coming from a user from the TFOT boarRAB who talked to Thomas after a show and got this information..if anyone wants I can link to his post.

I don't get why people don't like it as much! It makes more sense as a concept album when the production was better and the vocals were easier to understand.

Check out the you tube viRAB and see if that tickles you. I only have the MANIPULATOR album, and I'm not nearly as informed as Les Paul, Crowquil etc. They are your guides!

Not at all, for being the same songs they arent that cool. Maybe its because phantom lacks the great parts of the demos. Ghostship/chapter iv is an excellent example. The intro is effed up, it lacks the whole energy, the whole BANG BANG BANG... actually the entire chorus sucks, I like the wildness of ghostship, dont enjoy the lame singing of phantom. Everything that was great about the demos was lost in phantom.

and as for the smiley, no joke they are almost the same, thats why I compared those two as opposed to manip and ghostship.
