The directors cut is on on Monday on SciFi channel if anyone is interested.

That's the one where she walks down the stairs like a spider  ((((shudders)))))

I saw it.

I have to say, it'd been years since I saw it and the first time I saw it, I was a teenager with my frienRAB and didn't really take it seriously. I didn't realise just how disturbing it is.

Absolutely chilling. As soon as I get some sapre money I think I'll get it on DVD.

I was just watching it last night on DVD, to be honest I find it more funny than scary. I'm sure I would of crapped myself if I saw it in a dark cinema and not knowing what to expect all those years ago.

I saw it about ten years ago and wanted it to scare the hell out of me. Unfortunately, I had already seen 'Repossessed' with Leslie Nielson so I kept expecting him to pop up at any minute!!!

Seriously though, for the time it must have been really scary. We're used to blood, gore and ghost films now so the impact isn't as great for people who watch it for the first time.

I still think that it's quite disturbing though, and proof that you don't need modern effects (or a load of screaming teenagers) to make a horror film - the old ones are the best!

Do you know its meant to be based on an 'apparently' true story. Only it was a boy not a girl.

Has anyone ever seen the film 'Possessed' with Timothy Dalton on SciFi channel? (Its a totaly crap film) Its based on a book called 'Possessed' by Thomas Allen about the diary that was kept by a priest when they exorcised the boy.

William Blatty apparently got hold of a copy of the diary that was kept and wrote the Exorcist book based on them.

Same, watched it years & years ago when i was a teen and was terrified, seen it again about a year ago and was laughing at most of it. I remember my mum saying that when it first came out in the 70's (she was an usher at the cinema) they put up white sheets up over all the walls and turned the heating off just to add to the effect i suppose and there were people being sick and faiting, alot of them had to be carried of of the cinema.
