You will be glad to know, I made it through the night. [Just.]
I had my dog to protect me... but five kittens running around on a wooden floor all night gave me the creeps.
Haha...
In all honestly, I loved it the first time, 'maybe' the second and the third... but it gets to a point where it's not the same any-more, and it's a chore to watch. I'd either fall asleep or watch/do something better instead... however, last night I watched it all, and actually enjoyed it. Full marks all over again.
P.s
Come to think of it, I think the dog gave me the creeps aswell. One minute I'd make him lie on the floor beside me [I was on the sofa.] Then I'd go to look at him, and he'd be gone somewhere unless NOT guarding me.
Hmmmph! He's fired.
I have been a fan of horror films and for years everyone i know spoke about the Exorcist. Then last year aged 22 i decided to watch it when it was on SciFi i think and i have to say its a good film and seemed way ahead of its time. It's not so much scary but really freaky which leaves you feeling something, i can't put my finger on it.
The corridor scene or the lady on the ceiling?
A very underated film I think even if the ending is weak (it was cut to, er, Hell apparently)..
I've seen The Exorcist about five times.
It's certainly unsettling (Mercedes MacCambridge's voice gets me every time) but I once saw it sober late at night while housesitting on my own and laughed all the way through.
How strange.
Maybe I was possessed?
I watched that from beginning to end actually.
You see how much detail went into it, such as how you see the Priest, he's always going down steps or a slope. It signifies his decline.
There [like most horror films] there is the use of the colour red in ever scene to signify danger.
Seeing it this time, the special effects were very poor, but I guess first-class for their time.
