The Exorcist

[highlight]I am all alone in the middle of nowhere on a dark eerie night, and the Exorcist is on ITV4 and ITV4 +1

Bit cheesy after you've seen it once... but it's a good night for it. :(

(Red text added for blood chilling effect.)
:o

It's not the same after you've seen it a couple of times, but I am in the mood for it tonight.
(Hope I don't get a power-cut or I'm running away.)

The Vatican's Chief Exorcist, Father Gabrielle Armoth says it's one of his favourite films too, as it's pretty true of how exorcism work, but the film uses artistic licence such as the trusting head and the crab-walk down the stairs.

I watched it once, on my own, in the middle of nowhere. Never again. It really scared me, and I'm usually impervious to such things.

I first saw this in the cinema and immediately liked it. Seen it a good few times since, not really in the mood for watching it tonight, I'm watching a thing about youtube instead.

I was about 7 when I first saw this film and it scares me more now than it did back then. I thought it was quite funny the first time I saw it, we were young so found the head spinning, spewing up and self mutilation with a cross highly amusing. Now it just freaks me out.

I know I'm the odd one out here, and probably back in the 70s it was ground breaking stuff, but I have never found the film even a bit scary and even find it comical in parts. :o

Totally, we had it on VHS when we were younger and told not to watch it because it was terrifying (as a kid I was a seasoned horror fan) so we put it on one day and just laughed our way through it. But it does freak me out now.

Conversely, I was petrified of Freddy Kruegar as a child and was made to watch it as punishment, yet I can't watch it now without laughing at the rubbish effects and the silly way he talks.

I don't think it was that scary to be honest.
Some people are easily scared, I was bored shitless during the film Paranormal activity yet for some it scared them shitless.
