hi,

I might buy the evil dead but im not sure.

Could you tell me if it had any rude bits in please otherwise my mum wont let me buy it

Thanks xx

It depenRAB on what you call rude...but a tree rapes a woman.
I suppose that's rude.

You could always tell your mum to cover her eyes when that bit comes up.

:)

And a 15 certificate.
Get the original and best ,although the 4:3 version is the correct version as filmed.
The fake widescreen versions lose image, and at least the first widescreen edition in the UK was awfully blurred.
The best version to get is the US 4:3 release from Elite

It'll still have a stupid story, woeful acting and jokeshop special effects.
I don't subscribe to the "So bad it's good" theory: it's just rubbish.

The second movie is basically a retelling of the story from the first one.
The stort is no more stupid than any other gorefest horror movie.
The acting is not the best by any means, but the effects are excellent considering the budget and wipe the floor with your multimillion pound CGI crap the blockbusters dish out

Erm, poor over the top effects (to be fair this was pretty deliberate) and the tree rape are cons ( even the director says that was the product of an immature mind).

On the plus side....one of the tensest scariest horror rides you can go through. Easily one of the best horror films ever made, and then you can get Evil Dead 2 and watch the same story played for laughs.

The Evil Dead Trilogy is great, watch the original before Evil Dead II or it won't have the scare effect at all, you'll laugh all the way through it.

I got the Evia Dead trilogy. Personally, I think it rules but it all depenRAB on how you take to the lead character Ash played by B film legend Bruce Campbell. Some people love him and think ED is great. Others hate him and think the trilogy is rubbish. The first film is a proper horror the other two are comedies which take the mick out of the first film and the b film acting of Bruce Campbell.

Btw - if your sqeamish, do not watch the first two films. Gore and violence galore.
