The Event channel4 9pm friday

how do you know it was them?

I'll probably give the next episode a watch as I quite enjoyed it, though I think a lot of people are still scarred from Lost and won't have much patience with this.

Personally though I quite liked it, I didn't think it was confusing to follow at all and I thought that the show went some way to answering some of the questions it has already posed.

Not sure this has long term potential but will watch for a few episodes more.

We don't know if it was the aliens who caused the plane crash, it could have been the CIA trying to frame them.

Also if it was another group of aliens, the ones who saved the plane said that they had nearly used up all their resources just to make the plane disappear.

I heard the ratings were going down every week rather than going up. A full season just means more episodes doesn't it? The story is simple enough once you get a few episodes in. It doesn't need to be dragged out for seasons.

So they have time to scramble a fighter, but not time to move the President to safety?
They don't shoot the plane down - is this pre 9/11 then?
Why did noone care where the VP was or the head of CIA when they were supposed to be at the press conference? Didn't that strike anyone as a bit suspicious?

Why wasn't Sean arrested already? When he got back to the US/when he got on the plane.

I was sky plusing the second episode, started watching it, had been watching for about 10 minutes thinking 'i've already seen all of this' then the end credits come up... woops.
Quite enjoying it so far:)
