Went to see it at the flics when it first came out. Well acted by Barbara Hershey, as I recall, but total and utter bullshit, of course.

The only effect this film had on me was how laughably bad it was.

It was directed by Sidney J. Furie, the guy that made the equally awful Superman IV and Iron Eagle films. That speaks volumes.

I've always thought The Entity was bad. Seriously, grow up. A really ridiculous accusation if there ever was one.
 
The Entity scored a 6.1/10 and Poltergeist a 7.4/10 on IMDB. So a 1.3 difference isn't that much and definitely NOT a poor film as you suggest. Clearly you're in the minority who think it's poor. Was it the adult themes which put you off? You also seem to think that a director of one bad film never directs a decent movie. That tells me enough about your pattern of thought, thank you. :)

I'm all too aware of IMDB. You've been here a few months, and you are telling me to do my homework? Once again, you don't even know me. I run a successful entertainment website, and business. I have many readers and posters who also do so here.

The day I form a method of thinking where I need to go to the IMDB website for a judgment call as to whether a given film is good or not, is the day I'm as foolish as you are.

You really need to sort out your attitude towarRAB me, because quite frankly, it stinks.

Personally I cannot believe anyone would use IMDB ratings as some sort of bible for what is good and bad.

I mean, have you ever looked at the message boarRAB on IMDB and seen some of the morons who post there?
