The engine light in my jeep is on..?

The engine light in my jeep is on, and off, I took it to the dealership, they put it thru the computer, they told me one of the sensors is bad, and it needs to be replace, but in order to do that they have to open the transmission... IS THIS TRUE, can someone with knowledge help me.....the good thing my Jeep still under warranty.
 
well if its under warranty whats the problem? I dont know why they would make it up, since they are the ones paying for it....wouldnt make any sense.

I'd tell you to just take it in, get it fixed and go on your way......
