I like when some animated show decide to end the show instead of cancelling it or end it like a normal episode. You know, when a show ends something.

Like for example: Beast Wars.
An epic battle between good vs. evil, the good guys wins, and they go back home.

Something like that. I just hate when some shows just doesn't end the series and leave it there, like it was nothing. I just feel like the creator doesn't care about the show at all.

So, for the animated shows that “DID” ended it, what's your favorite ending? How did it made you feel?
 
I'll co-sign this, I also like it when a show is at least given the chance to have a proper conclusion to the series. Drawn Together had theirs with the last clip show.
 
If this ends up being the show's last season, then the final episode of Chowder involves us seeing Chowder growing up and finally becoming a chef in his own right.
 
Personally i dislike these ending episodes and conclusions. The reason behind this opinion is that; a animated universe must be straight in it's continuity and not contain imperfections such as a massive epic conclusion, as they ruin it's normalcy. This is fine however in such a dimension as that one of Beast wars which you made reference to as it is a most fantastic dimension and not a realistic one such as say Hey Arnold! or Recess. Thus in a normal animated show/universe a conclusion out of the context of normalcy would be weird but in a dimension of gods and battles and such fantastic elements it would not be unheard of within it's normalcy.
 
A show doesn't need to have a epic battle for a decent ending. Look at Doug. That show ending is telling you that Doug my have some tough time in his life, but you and I know he will live a good life. Something like that.

Is like saying "Good-bye".



If it leave you that feeling, then yes. It's kind of the same feeling like the first season of Pokemon. Even though Ash lost, you can tell he's going to keep training hard to become a pokemon master someday.

Beast Wars' was great. I also like WITCH's. They both wrapped things up pretty nicely. I definitely prefer a conclusive ending as opposed to 'the fight must go on' you see in shows like Justice League and Danny Phantom.
 
Ironically, I'm watching the series Finale of Kirby: Right Back At Ya! XD

I hope King Of The Hill will do this with its remaining Episodes Next season. I kinda respect Fox now for letting this series get a Proper ending...
 
The best examples that I can think of are: the original Transformers, Beast Wars/Machines, and the Justice League Unlimited episode "Epilogue."

The original Transformers ended with the three part episode "Rebirth." I understand that the episode was really one last final commercial to introduce new toys that were available. But I really enjoyed the episode.

The Beast Wars/Machines three part episode "End Game" (I'm pretty sure that's what it was called). I've heard rumors that the people involved with the Beast Machines series finale won't show up at Botcon cause they're afraid for their safety. But it was a pretty good series finale.

While the "Epilogue" episode of Justice League Unlimted was not the final episode, it was clearly meant to be the final story. And to be honest, it's probably the best episode of any cartoon I've ever seen.
 
Maybe it'll end up like Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends with it ending with the characters staying the same way they've been throughout all six seasons and the intro going in reverse.

Hope that Panini doesn't try to force Chowder into loving her when they get older. Although that part of the show is quite funny.
 
I wish all serial based shows would not so much end the show, but wrap up most of it's story by the end of it's season. Beast Wars and Reboot did a perfect job of wrapping up season 1 with a tragic ending that felt satisfying, but still left the door open.

The kind of ending I never want to see again is the one for Mighty Max. Remember that joke in the promotional Futurama comic where the characters got stuck in a black hole of reruns? That was the ACTUAL ending of Mighty Max.
 
It is the final episode/movie of the series. The Eds leaving the cul-de-sac on a search for Eddy's older brother is sure to be a hilarious and dramatic ride.
