The Elephant Man on blu-ray

Does anyone know if it's worth getting the blu ray edition of this film?

The one in the link. Is there much difference between the dvd and blu ray to warrant another buy.

Useless contribution here, because I haven't seen the blu, but that dvd is appalling, and any new transfer done with half an eye open will be an improvement. In theory.

Any Bluray will beat its dvd equivalent easily

The original 35mm release prints were superb quality so the Blu Ray should be good.
