The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

If you like I could probably have a go at running the second semi-final on the weekend of the 9-10 Oct, and BBAnne could then run the Final two weeks later. In the gaps we can have Marrakesh this weekend, and someone else for the weekend 16/17 Oct.

12 from each semifinal would give us the standard(ish) 24 songs, or top 10 from each semi would give us 20 to choose from .
 
MF contest update.....

9 entries are confirmed so far (including my own). There's a real mix of songs. Some songs are in Swedish others in English.

  • You must choose a song that failed to qualify for any of the MF grand finals since 2002 (Songs that came 5th-8th place in the semi finals and the 6 losers in each Second Chance)
  • PM me with your choice + 2 back-up's until 6pm on Tuesday September 14th. Your chosen song(s) must have a live performance from MF on YouTube, Dailymotion etc.
  • Shortly after the deadline, the voting will commence in traditional eurovision style - 1-8, 10 & 12 points for your 10 favourite songs. The deadline for votes is 6pm on Sunday September 19th

I don't mind either way really .. It's just I really wanted a certain song for EuroChris's voting thingy and I was nervous I wouldn't be as quick next time :p

Host the Olympics one year
Win Eurovision the next
Host Eurovision the year after that.

I hope 2011 is the year were the BBC have iron boots rammed up their backsides...I also hope it's the year where they start making more of an effort for Eurovision.

See what I did there, eh eh? :D
