The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

Hey guys! :D

Before I start I'd just like to let you all know that a group of mates from my college had invited my out this afternoon to go drinking, I unfortunately had to pass as I have this to deal with so be greatful! ;)

Now the voting closes at 3 this afternoon so that's less than an hour, the resutls however will be revealed at around 6:00 pm tonight. As requested this will be First Semi-Final of the worst ESC song of all time and will continue in October, in the meantime there will be other contests to fill the gap between now and the second semi in October followed by the Grand Final in November. Not totally sure if I'll be up to hosting this again, I'll be happy if anyone wants to take over in hosting the second semi-final. :)

I never realised I missed so many contests, I demand a re-run! Lol. Pity I missed the best ever ESC Non final qualifier, would have enjoyed that one. I must go back to the old threaRAB to find out what you have all been up to.
 
Ah, ok. I just chose a song I liked. Haven't really a lot of background info to come with :)

But I don't really mind either.

I *do* mind that I kissed the first two contests though, but notjhing to do about it :(
 
I love that shot of Dannii too! I was going to entr a Dannii song... but a couple of others have overtaken her in my placings for representation :)

I do like the Promise as a song though, and at least they're singing live, badly or not lol! Something to think about when giving my votes I guess :)

EDIT : Aaah, from reading later posts I'm assuming Six For One was it? Switzerland 1996 iirc?

My iPod shuffled on to Daz Sampson on the way in tonight, and I found myself singing along :o
 
Good News!

It looks like So You Think Could Dance will be returning to BBC1 a little later this year (March - April) ... So there is still a possibility that we will get a multi-week selection series :D
 
KInda understood it was from big bro since it was quite similar to Vanessa, but never really got the song, but at least it got 1 point more from me than the other Delta song...
 
It's as vomit inducing as the Irish Country and Western I had inflicted upon me by my parents as a youngster. It doesn't help matters that Sieneke has the look of a member of a mind controlling cult with that permanently fixed grin. I bet she weeps alone at night in a darkened room.
