The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

So before I announce the line-up, 'what is the twist?' I hear you cry. :p

Well, I will only be announcing the song name and artist name. I will not be announcing the name of the FM to which each song belongs to. You'll have to wait until the results to find this out.

Try not to let slip which song is yours, but have fun guessing about the other entries owners. :D

Kylie wins fantasy competition organised by Eurovision fans, Now thats a shocker!!!! Lol.

Well done everybody on the diversity of the entries. I am glad you liked the Albanian techno, part of my belief is that this contest allows you to highlight artists and tracks to other people's attentions that they otherwise might not have heard. In my opinion Jacques Brel was outstanding and I shall now track down more of his back catalog so thank you Valerian Forest.

I'd like to see eurovision in the UK held in Manchester. It's a small city so the event would take over the city alot more, there's the MEN Arena which is one of the largest in Europe and just down the road there's Manchester Central Convention Complex which could be the base for all the press conferences, press centre etc. Perfect. :p

Yay, can't wait to see which songs belong to who! :D

I know we're doing another round starting tonight, but are we doing another one the week after, because I've got 2 songs which I think would be perfect eurovision songs. :p

Welcome, I too consider 1989 as one of the best years of Eurovision, but I prefer Bana Bana and Derech ha melech although the child went off key during the performance. Door de wind is also worth humming along to. So many great songs that year and of course the nul pointer from Iceland, Daniel went onto become a member of the successful Indie band Gus Gus.

Always good to hear other likes and dislikes.

Oh goodness! there is one on there that fell under my radar (for the best reasons) and it is SOOO BAD!! It has gone straight to the top of the bottom ever :D

Sorry !!

Anyway - I had been a bit lazy over the viRAB given that it takes around 10 mins to load each one, so immediately went to the Falco one as I figured after the lyrics that would be a fairly scary business, and it was quite dark and brooding .... not what I was initially expecting from entries when this contest was announced

In my quest for information tonight, I found that Falco died in 1998 following a car crash, just short of his 41st birthday ...
