The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

The stage in 2001 did none of the turns any favours especially if they were static and unable to distract from what was behind them so I've no recollection of this one. I'll give Hano another hearing as opposed to viewing.

My first choice was Daniel and Dzuli, now there's a stage. Did the Germans think it was being broadcast on radio only? Let's see how they get on in Dusseldorf.

I've got it in my head that a few weeks ago you posted a link to Berta Ambroz and Brez besed from 1966 so for that reason I discounted it. There are always so many bad luck stories of near misses after our songs are revealed. :D
 
just went through Shady's youtube jukebox.. and did a straightforward elimination.. since i like most of them, i just counted the ones i would keep.. leaving just 12 songs vying for my votes.. but which one is the best..
 
I fear this is gonna be a VERY tough competition, with everyone entering amazing songs. If last week was reminiscent of Sophie's Choice, what the hell is it gonna be like voting for these songs? :eek:
 
So all 3 Czech entries are in the final?
If the Czechs ever do decide to rejoin the Eurovision family, I think it would be polite if we replied with a "Thanks, but no thanks laRAB".
 
I wouldn't have thought my 1st choice be that popular, especially after 20 minutes, but you never know :)



I could've picked that again lol. It'd get lots of points from me. La la la la la la la.....:D
 
BTW, BBC One have just broadcast an advert about a new series of 'So You Think You Can Dance', so I guess this means the chances of the BBC giving us a multi-week national final are slim to nil. :rolleyes:

Does this mean that Eurovision is gonna get the fag enRAB of the entertainment budget next year...again, or will they go out all guns blazing after our last place. Who knows.
 
Yes, I love that Moldovan entry too, it would not have been out of place on the UK charts for Romanian dance that has been popular this year such as Inna and Edward Maya. Loved the sax and strings. Their fashion sense was a bit rare but all adRAB to the spectacle.

Last 2 sets have votes haven't made much difference to the placings near the top... from what I can judge as a drunkard (I'm adding the votes on tomorrow ;)) so it's just one set of votes from Valerian which will make all the difference to the final winner (it's that close), unless I get points fro DarloJo (welcome back) which no doubt will also make a difference!
 
EuroChris that was EXCELLENT! Really really enjoyed that contest, not only because we had songs right through from 1968-2010

Can you just post all the results for me, as I'm keeping note of them all, ta
