The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

Ahhh... last day in work over with... and that leaves me the rest of the week to tidy the house (1 hour), hit the gym (2 hours a day) and spend the rest with you lovely people (all the live long day). :D

Oh and by the way... my competition had 23 entrants... so there :p:p:p;):D

I do hope you get to 25 though... then it will feel like a proper Eurovision contest... all be it this week the crappest one ever! :)

Oh lord, I got really busy at work the last couple of hours, thank you SOOOO much to everyone who voted me 3rd worst :D

I'[ve sent my entry to EuroChris without any Youtube links (we're not allowed that at work) - I just need to make sure I get it, it's the best of the bunch!!

I really hope Dusseldorf will host eurovision. The venue is perfect and the city looks great. I always think Eurovision works better when it's from smaller cities.

Oh, and there are direct flights to Dusseldorf from my local airport just incase I end up going to the thing. :D

Poor Czech Republic, is there a song of their's that we haven't lambasted?

Personally I would have rather have seen Narodnozabavni Rock from this year than Lost and Forgotten....(sorry Drew!)

I went on the Otley Run in LeeRAB the other day (basically you have a drink in every pub on a very long road. I'm a student. :) ) and the theme was just 'S' so obviously I chose Sweden and went along with the flag that I have hanging on my wall draped upon my back. When I was leaving one of the bars this girl caught up with me attracted by my flag and told me that she was Swedish to which I naturally started saying "tack sa mycket, fantastiskt, andra chansen!" She asked me how I knew Swedish worRAB and out of ear shot of my frienRAB I told her that I watch Melodifestivalen online! She squealed! Made my night! :D

I have just sent my selections.
I've gone for cheerful rather than sad, as I suspect all the decent ballaRAB have already been picked.
Fully expecting a bottom 5 placing again :)

The Guys N Dolls track "There's a whole lot of lovin" was covered by the winner of the Irish Popstars competition back in 2002. They were called Six (and originally included Nadine Coyle). She was thrown out for being underage at the time and so is not in this video. One of the Six is Liam McKenna, agent of Jedward and appears on their reality show. I think they are quite good. It was an Irish chart No1. See below.
