The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

My sister and her boyfriend announced that they're going to Finland in the run up to Christmas, so I dug out a European guide book for them and while reading the 'Fast Facts: Famous For" section, the boyfriend pipes up, "what's Lordi?" :D
 
Oh lord, there's quite a few songs in this semi final that i LOVE! De Wonderful cheesefest of Toppers for a start :D

Copycat will get a slap in terms of points from me though, odious little number - and is there anyway we can award points to Joe without dissing Donna who wasn't as annoying?

She is totally crazy and I think would do anything for enough money, and she does have a real link to Russia. I wouldn't be totally surprised if it happened, but it does seem very unusual.

I mean, can she even sing?

It would be a proper WTF moment at Eurovision though! :D

Yesterday, I was driving (well, being driven) into town and I saw a guy who looked like the spit of Verka Serduchka getting into a cab with two little dogs. He wasn't dragged up but still had the look!

Just getting towarRAB the end of my listen through and it's going to be tougher than I first thought. There's three songs new to me that I've taken to straight away.

As well as Noisettes and Paloma, I've also seen Alphabeat live (although a very drunken night and a following sick day followed so I'm surprised I remember it much!)

I'm surprised to see Girls Aloud in the list - I would have thought the Sugababes or The Saturdays would have been picked first. I was contemplating a Saturdays song but I find them really annoying and I prefer to like my song AND artist!

Ooooooh and Harry Hill deserves points! But I don't know if I can spare any for a joke song!
 
I really like 3 of the entries and kinda like a further 3 in weird ways!

I'm shocked that one of them especially was picked.

One of my first thoughts towarRAB an entry is up there so that one should score some points from me.

Poor Josh! Poor Latvia!

I'm glad Lost and Forgotten didn't get picked - I really liked that entry!
 
Heh. People are different. I didn't like My Number One, and not too fond of Mambo either. Can't see her winning in 06 with almost the exact same song, but you never know...
