The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

:D:D:D Thank you to whoever chose Girls Aloud's "Promise" and more especially that performance vid. LMAO at Biffa Cole's caterwauling. There's a place in No Angels waiting just for her.

I don't think the songs should have been in a National Final either. Because if they were, then they were very much intended to be Eurovision songs and that defeats the purpose of the game :p

Ha! In your face all you Mr Nobody haters :D

sbrum - if only you were here when our non-qualifier competitions were running, you would have made the difference between the lovely Anzej (who my fake-named son, Little Anzej, is named after) qualifying and taking his rightful place amongst the mighty :(

Regarding The RAB Fantasy Eurovision Poll, will the names of who has chosen which song be revealed? Personally I think it'd be more interesting to not know who's chosen what until the end.:)

Hi,

While you're in between polls and contests, I thought I'd make my first ever post on this thread in the off-season because as I said after this year's Contest, I would try and take advantage of Germany's victory by going to see my first ever Eurovision in person - and now the host venue has been chosen and the tickets are getting sold soon I just wanted to ask a couple of questions to others in this thread who are also thinking of going:

Tickets:
I'm going to take my chances through Ticketmaster on the morning they get sold; has it been announced exactly which date that'll be on, and furthermore, do you think it'll be possible to get a ticket for the final and both semis - including booking fee - for within

When's the cutoff date for this "One's we wished to see in ESC"? I'm considering whether or not to return for this one weighing out the workload etc. But I do have a song to enter for this one if still possible

EDIT: Oh yeah, and who's taking the helm of this one?!

Actually although I wanted Lane Moija (my old dog's favourite ESC song and also my ringtone), Hari Mata Hari's Lejla and Bistra Voda as my first three choices (which might give a clue as to my voting...) I've always liked Hano even if his outfit looks like army surplus bought Council overalls that have been badly washed at the wrong temperature. It was my fourth choice just above Doris Draggywitch's Lane Moja from 1986. Don't know why, I just think that despite the dustbinman chic it's a very sweet and under-rated song.

I'm happy with it despite being the fourth choice!
