The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

I'd be happy to... but what if some poor soul hasn't entered yet... or changes their minRAB (I'm looking at you mother) :D

You know that ESC controversies are far-reaching!

Thanks EuroChris, I will try and get in nice and early on Sunday night (what time?) as I know there's a certain someone or two who may want the same as me

If you post the time, then it's fair for all, and neither Eastern or Western Block will have an unfair advantage :p

Well, Mr Chickens, I think you had better knuckle down over the weekend.... my spreaRABheets are in overdrive, but definitely missing a Chicken vote!

With the dung votes, I didn't need to listen again, the horror had stayed with me :(

There is indeed a Swedish original version of Caramelldansen, I am still recovering from having to listen to the first 30 seconRAB of a hundred mp3 versions before I found out if they were the Swedish or the requested English!

I am more put off by the cartoon girlies in the video though, who appear to have the facial feature of your average blow up doll....

But doesn't the guy in it just really really get up your nose? He does mine... I would very much enjoy giving him a good slap! :D

Does anyone else find it difficult to judge some of the less well known entries with ABBA and Celine? It's like comparing a shiny new friend with an old uncle. The new friend is exciting and fresh but you feel bad voting against the old uncle. Hmm.

What a ridiculous quandary to be in.

I think my problem with Alf is it wasn't particularly good or funny, yet ORF had the brass neck to withdraw from the ESC in a hissy fit yet submitted Godawful tom-tit like Alf and Global Kryner, wondering why the rest of Europe gave them the bum's rush.

I'm not a huge fan of joke entries but if we must have them they ought to be of the standard of Verka Seduchka or InCulto (although their "Welcome to Lithuania" was better and less offensive than "Eastern European Funk") , not some tit with his nutty relatives singing about cockroaches and rabbits, or yodelling Cuban salsa.

It certainly sounded Swedish :D

Limping ahead of the ABBA clones from Portugal we have...

Position: 13th Points: 46

If you want to enter, you have another 24 hours or so - send me the song title, artist and the youtube link of the song that you think should have been a Eurovision song, choose the youtube link carefully as this will be your performance in the final!

If you've sent me a song and you are not on the list above, please message me, it's entirely possible that I've done something heinous with your entry :o

The running order will be chosen by Little Anzej tomorrow afternoon after we get back from swimming *shakes fist at half term* (photographic evidence of this will accompany the reveal)

I've given up guessing who's who after the Alcazar shocker! I wonder if the results are going to be as exciting as finding out who entered what :D

And Chickens - I now have an mp3 of Lisa Bresnan, Ireland 2003, let me know if you still want it!
