All I will say is that mine is not a well known song in its original incarnation ... and I've gone for it as I think it would be a good Eurovision song, not because it's my favourite song (how well would Pink Floyd REALLY do in ESC?!)
Worst ever??? There are the knowing comedy entries which I dislike because they are deliberately bad so I refuse to acknowledge their existence although I will vote for them if nominated. It's also the case that a lot of dire entries this century have been falsely enhanced by the much improved staging. If they had to compete in the solemn surroundings of last century then they would be exposed for the grot they really are. *I'm taking this far too seriously*
You want camp, overblown, dramatic, tasteless and fanbloodytastic? You do?.......try this.......it's taken them long enough but finally, the video is here.
I don't believe in it like I did in Magdi (but look how that turned out!) but it is a hideous song in a so-so list so I'll be disappointed if I don't score highly!
They could at least just put "we have Strictly/X Factor results...click here if you'd like to know!"
If the competitions keep going we'll eventually run out of "modern" songs and only the "oldies" will be left to vote on, as Sulphuric would say it's a "dreep drop" process. Apart from Marija Magdalena I agree on the quality of all those songs.
Dermot O'Weary said "Sophie's Choice" with regarRAB to Simon Cowell's dilemma and he was being serious.
That is it - thanks for this. Siegel and Meinunger not their finest moment, I had been thinking of "Together we are one" which is another sick inducing entry.
