The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

That's a point. I really can't think of who else it could be. Portugal's NF is too old to be called off and I wouldn't say it's a fan favourite. Poland's certainly not a fan favourite! :D It's definitely not Malta as it's way too big and I think they've already announced the details of it.

ARGH just tell us Kargo! It's only rabroad! :D

I have entries so far from the following...

Chickens hit
EuroChris
Pdm1987
marrakech
9ct mould
Only_You
ShadyNathan
BBAnne
DamienS
ValerianForrest
wombatofludham
RogerMilla
NightFox_Dancer

I definitely think that there's been something strange going on since I moaned to you about never hearing anything ......

They have not exactly been entries that you would expect to hear either, very very strange indeed - am fully expecting Bebi Dol to pop up somewhere anytime soon

Blimey, would never have guessed that as Drew's entry! It was just too dark for Eurovision in my mind, really ended up liking the song, but whilst Marcin could get away with slapping a headlock on one of his dancers, I think abduction and other offences was going a bit far!

Gerard Lenorman's song sounRAB bloody familiar to me but I can't place it. Anyone know if there's ever been an English language version at all?

and one of mine!

How on earth did "GonaRAB in the night" (Lithuania 2008) escape our list of vitriol?!

There's 4 or 5 in there that I'm not overly familiar with, but pmsl that Diktor's winner made it through

I didn't think i'd do particuarly well with this song, so i'm fine with this position. Sometimes, supporting a song that you love is more important than winning!! (I totally would not be saying this had I won). :p

Thanks Anne. I'm glad there were a few people who supported this song! :)

In other news, a Danish girl started in my work this weekend. I was very quick to tell her that I LOVED everything Scandinavian (and by this I mean everything Swedish). I told her about my love of Eurovision and how I had loved Dansk Melodi Grand Prix last year, to which she replied with a lengthy silence and then "It's a nice country, yes". I don't think she understood me. If I wasn't leaving my work I would totally have pitched a trip to next year's DMGP. :o

Half of them are after 2000 and as for before, second best to Silver Convention is Sheeba's Horoscopes.

If there's a slack week I might resurrect it, I'll send you the list.

Can we do this poll again? I've discovered a cracking ballad that failed miserably and think I'd get a much better placing second time around.
