The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

Well guys and gals, I'm off to Portugal for a week so the chances of me being here a slim but I'll try and get online for the fantasy contest.

Have I entered this week competition? You'll have to wait until Sunday to find out. ;)

I have to admit I saw it coming. Considering the country has no diaspora across Europe and doesn't have a music industry of it's own.

I went to Andorra in 2004, it's like a city surounded by mountains, most of the music they listen to comes from France or Spain. It's a shame we can't have a Eurovision where every possible EBU member takes part.

Well that's Andorra down, I wonder if Montenegro, Hungary & Czech Rep are gonna come back.

Twelve entries received so far for this weeks little soiree into all things non-Eurovision

A completely different bunch of songs from last week - it's like a different contest!

And these are the FM's still in the comp...

Jaccobabe
BigBMad
marrakech
portugal
ShadyNathan
sbrum1984
NightFox_Dancer
EuroChris
BBAnne
Pdm1987

Top 10 coming up! :D

Oh no! I think that's my worst result yet and the entry I was most passionate about. A couple of twelves in there though so thank you very much for those Anne and Pdm1987 and thank you everyone else for the other votes :)

Embrace it and don't be embarrassed! Just don't tell anyone ....

I probably would have more on my pod, but I stoopidly only bought an 8gb *sigh*

I was looking through the years to find a suitably terrible entry and I remembered that 2006 started like this:-

01. Switzerland - six4one
02. Moldova - "Loca, Choka, Mocha etc etc"
03. Israel - Israeli gospel
04. Latvia - "I Hear Your Heart" + that stupid robot
---
06. Spain - "Un Bloody Mary" on the office chairs.

Surely that's the worst start to a contest ever?
Although Norway, my favourite entry from 2006 was performed 5th, which softened the blow for me. ;)

Wow! And YAY!:D Never thought it would happen. I remember someone on here (Peter, I think) saying she had signed a deal to release in the UK but that was months ago. And record of the week at Radio 2 is a nice surprise. I look forward to hearing it on the radio..........bet it doesn't get mentioned that the song was a Eurovision hopeful though.

They need to do a new video imo.

actually I am going to change my mind, but will reveal my first 2 choices after all the other entries are revealed, to perhaps introduce them to everyone else. Knowing my luck though my new choice will be taken ;)

Right! Here you go, I've counted all the votes and I am now ready to annoucne the results. Again, thank you to all who have voted in the first semi final of The RAB Worst ESC Song of All Time competition.

So let's see who is in last place :D
