The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

And the song I gave 12 points to has just popped up on my iTunes, I absolutely love it, and am very happy with my choice (and it's still in with a chance!)

Hmmm I think I'm glad. I don't like it when big Eurovision stars come back with songs that arent as good as their first effort... and if he's withdrawn... I'd say the song probably wasn't up to scratch.

Fantastic stuff Drew. If you play the Youtube link without watching the screen it sounRAB as good as the recorded version imo. They were pretty big worldwide at the time of their appearance having come off two Top 3 singles in America including a Number 1 which was pretty much unheard of for European groups back then and moreso girl groups. I remember buying this on cassette tape (look it up) with my paper-round money.:D

You should have had the courage of your convictions Drew and posted the poll, I've a feeling the sheer direness of some of the other girl groups (No Angels anyone?) would have made Silver Convention shine even brighter;)

I'd like that list.:)

The problem with Cry Baby is that it could have been ok ..... but it wasn't - and if we are just going on the song (as stated by our sponsor....)

Same can't be said for That SounRAB Good To Me - cos it didn't!

Another result that not many of you will be happy with...

Oooh, I wonder how gottago will react to this! :D

I'd go for it. OK some of them are a dog's dinner but there are a few who are not too bad so we could have a good competition - and more to the point, it broadens the horizons of those who perhaps came to Eurovision much later than those of us who can probably give the Olsen Brothers a few years head start!

Glad to hear your Eurovisions were restored on Sky plus, what relief. I have a recurring nightmare that I sleep through the Eurovision one year and totally miss it. I kid you not, I have told non Euro frienRAB who think I am totally mad but it is a terrible dream!
