The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

Is this the contest that says more about our personal tastes than any other? Like many others, I had my own personal National Final before I chose the chosen one ... so excited that I will get lots of new songs to listen to tomorrow :D
 
I am SO sorry ShadyNathan that I did not vote in the Best Winner ..... Reading through the posts I felt so bad lol! ... I just totally forgot :( ... I always seem to nominate a song but then totally forget about voting for others! ... so I am sorry!

But, I am pleased Abba reached 3rd place! Thats the second time I have reached 3rd place now, first with Eric now with Abba! Me and the Swedes are a good pairing :D
 
Or perhaps they are going for an 'any publicity is good publicity' angle to drive interest for when something even half decent appears!
 
Who's doing the next contest? I think we should have another best non winners competition like we did with BigBmad, that was great fun and we wern't so limited with our choises.

Should we have a Christer Bjorkman style "my friend didn't get nominated so I'll give him a wildcard" entry for Alf Poier in the final? Anyone who can allegedly get his tone deaf mother on stage as a backing singer neeRAB to be exposed to our approbrium.
 
I thought that would be a certainty after it did well in a previous comp. We need to adopt AV. :p

You're not wrong. Her star burned briefly and then she was gone. According to wikipedia,In 2006 "she lost her contract because of bad selling". Dunno why, but that made me laugh when I read it.:o

She tried again in 2009 apparently so we may yet see her again.
