hav the DVD, borrowed from a freind

saw the halloween remake and found it brutal but quite intense

is this film worth checking out

remember, I have not seen it yet
 
The Devils Rejects is bloodier than Halloween remake IMO but nothing an adult can't handle :) It's also better than House of 1000 Corpses (it's prequel you might want to see before watched DR if you haven't already seen it)
 
Totally agree. House of 1000 Corpses is tremendous fun, with a great monster and some genuinely scary moments. Devil's Rejects has some scary moments too, but not in the same way. It's a nasty, vile experience, which I'm sure fans delight in but for me it had too many steps too far.

It's not what you do it's the way you do it, and for me DR was just too ugly and perverted. There's a layer of contempt and depravity on top from the director that I found uncomfortable. I guess if that was the directors aim, then job done.
 
Devils Rejects really is just an exercise in Rob copying his influences and calling it a homage. ...Corpses was much better, still paying homage to certain films, but it was more imaginative. Devils Rejects felt like a bmovie horror version of Kill Bill to me. :\
 
Both drivel. Rob Zombie's demonstrated on every occasion that he is completely lacking in all departments when it comes to film direction. The man, and his inept films, are a total waste of space.
