The Definitive V635 vs. W600i Thread

Now, here we have to good phones, we similar features, both heavily featured in there own way. Btw, if you don't want to be bothered with the stuff below, skip to the last paragraph of my long winded speech.

The V635 is the simple clamshell, with EDGE (which probably doesn't matter in my area), a nice 1.3 mp camera w/flash, expandable memory, and a solid classy design that never gets "old looking" compared to many others. Its screen is good but kinda small by today's standards, its RF and sound are excellent and its keypad is simply one of the best to use.

The W600i is unique in many ways, with its bright orange (blue, white etc.) colours, good screen, unique swivel action and game playing abilities it holds the "cool quirkiness" end of things. It also has huge internal memory, and fm radio, a 1.3 mp cam w/flash, and a good mp3 player inside. It gets excellent reception as well. However its keypad is annoying and awkward to use and the screen is unprotected.

If one such as myself was bored of clamshells, but still wanted a good solid phone, which is better. The V635 is old but solid in every way, and cheaper with a design that could put up with a beating. But W600 is solid too and very unique, albiet more expensive (by a fair bit too) and more valunerable by its nature.

Ide have to say the w600 is bettter in all ways except for expanding memory, better sound quality, better camera in daylight,rf is as good battery life also is excellent, sony ui is so so much better than moto in my opinion, u can talk on the phone and snap a picture at same time, moto says camera busy, bluetooth 2.0 can connect multiple bluetooth devices to w600, gaming is outstanding just overall better phone aside from memory.

well I have spent a week with the V635...and your right the UI really does suck. I have changed settings again and again and spent hours with the UI and I still get lost in the menus. Plus, the second I loaded a few megabytes if music onto the T-flash card the phone's speed was cut in half. Blah Moto, blah! This was supposed to be one of your best phones!

The real limitation is the amount that I would have to spend buying accesories to outfit the phone to a reasonable extent, about $100 to get a data cable/ear phones/memory card.

The V635 is brilliant I know, but it is too much of a disappointment in the UI department, and to expensive to operate, and too much like the 1800 $20 Audiovox phones lying around. Does anyone else think its wise to get rid of the V635?
