The Death of symbian

Sigh......look, just because Ovi Market doesn't have an app that farts 'Winchester Cathedral' it doesn't mean Symbian is dead. Like anything else, something new will be implemented and people will go gaga over it. I've had four WM devices, five Android phones, four Blackberries and three iPhones. I now have a Nokia. They all have good and bad in their software and hardware. I will say my least favorite for it's lack of dependability was Android, though.

Didn't read through thread, just wanted to add my $0.02.

Went from an E71-2 to the HTC Magic. At the end of the day (3 months), probably going back to the E71 because of battery life and primary functions as a phone.

I hope you are not trolling. But to respond to what you said - what if I don't want to look at the news? You know looking at the phone is much faster than turning on the TV and flipping to the news channel, right? Look outside to see the weather, really? I guess we don't even need weather forecast on TV if it is this simple. Also, during winter time in Canada the sky can be clear and sunny but it can be just -10 C outside. Don't forget the wind chill...

I just want to say that widgets are not useless. Symbian^2/3 and Android both use them. However, Android does it better IMO.

Your knowledge has been in doubt for a while, but given you don't know how to do something very basic, you clearly don't know much about Symbian. Arguing with people who clearly know a lot about Symbian when you know very little puts your intelligence in question.
