The Dead Weather

I don't like the search function, I use Google.

Music Banter followed by what thread I want to search for. The search function has let me down too many times. :(

So I heard this song on Wednesday that my social studies teacher was playing in class. He likes the same music I like- cool right? Anyway, I heard this awesome song and asked him what it was. He said "60 Feet Tall" By the Dad Weather. The band is a project Jack White is/was involved in. I never liked the White Stripes, but thought this was a damn good song. So listened to more music from The Dead Weather. Thought I'd share.

Same here. Icky Thump was bang tidy. I can't wait for another White Stripes record. Chomping at the bit, The Dead Weather are alright. But nothing more. Come on Jack, get with Meg.

I picked up the album yesterday. I've listened to it twice already. I'm really liking this.

I'm going to see them in concert in a week and a half. I'm excited.

I listened to a couple of songs from their site, and yeah it a little to get into the music. It's fully worth it though. And it's strange because the Treat Me Like Your Mother video looks like it was filmed in my city.

They are:

Alison Mosshart - The Kills
Jack White - White Stripes/The Raconteurs
Dean Fertita - The Queens of the Stone Age
Jack Lawrence - The Raconteurs/The Greenhorns

I guess they are not that super... Certainly can't be compared to Chickenfoot haha.

I took a listen of the album a couple of days ago and thought it was a pretty satisfying listen. I got everything I want from a Jack White collaboration, gritty rock drenched in cool.
Anyway, I was really surprised by the vocals. I never realised how much Alison Mosshart sounded like Jack White! She's a great singer.
