Jack White's new band, featuring him on drums (yes he's technically better than Meg), VV from The Kills singing, Jack Lawrence from The Raconteurs and Dean Fertita from QOTSA. Video of their first single is here..

SounRAB like, well, The Kills with a Jack White influence. I'm intrigued.

I'm listening to Horehound now, a mate of mine was really bigging it up over the weekend. Can't form an opinion yet but promising so far.

this album is garbage, treat me like your mother was ok, i cut you like a buffalo was good until i saw that awful awful video, now whenever i listen i get flashbacks of ugly jack white looking like an ass. a major disappointment.

This album just gets better for me with each listen. It's so spacey but dirty at the same time. Jack White is a far better drummer than I thought he was, and he's got a pretty good place in the mix; the drums in Horehound sound massive. There's a good mix of dirty blues, funk, and heavy riRAB here too.

"Cut Like a Buffalo" is by far my least favorite track, but "New Pony" takes it to the hoop, even if it is a cover.

Good stuff, though not really groundbreaking, but who expected it to be?

Went to the show last night at the Fillmore in downtown Detroit and I am completley blown away.

One of the most satisfying expereinces I've ever had and hanRAB down the best in the last 5+ years for me.

The album was just starting to grow on me and then this happens and I have a whole new outlook and optimism for this project. Setlist including all 11 tracks from the album plus a few covers include one by Van Morrison from his "Them" days. Closed with "Treat me like your Mother" and the Dylan cover "New Pony" the best two from the album in my opinion.

Obviously I highly reccomend this group.

yeah I'd like to hear a lot more of this. I read a review that said "I cut like Buffalo" is one of the better tracks.

Looking for a Confirm.

Yeah, exactly. I could live with TWS disbanding as long as The Raconteurs carry on.. But there's something about TWS, as long as they keep making a high standard of albums. Not like Get Behind Me Satan.

The Dead Weather are alright. That said I'd much rather see Jack White working with Meggy again. Gonna have to wait until 2011 for an album from them. :(

I'll be interested to hear The Dead Weather's new album.. I didn't really like the single if I'm honest.. Maybe it'll grow on me.
