The Day After Tomorrow (merged)

I thought the movie was okay, nothing special but not bad either. The twister scenes were brilliant as were the flooding scenes in NYC but some aspects of the fil really irritated me. Aside from the obvious mistakes already pointed out there was one huge and one smaller error that really annoyed me, kinda spoling the film for me a little. Firstly, when 'dad' and his buddies set of to NYC to save the son, they set off from philly was it? Anyways, it was a northern state higher up than Ney York... on their way down 'dad' found a sign saying Manhatten - so they were near? Well they must have gotten themselves very lost and found themselves in the middle of the atlantic as they walked in past the statue of liberty.... which in a tiny island in the sea!!! At to top it off, after they walked past the statue of liberty and touched land the first building they were met with was the empire state buliding.... which is about 5 miles up from the bottom of manhatten where they allegedly arrived!

I don't think I've ever actually seen a disaster film without any obvious mistakes. It's not really possible because there is so much to think of when making a film like that.

i suspect that the film wouldnt make as much profit if it had a foreign nation winning the day. and yea i know im sad (sim51), but i just get annoyed quickly in films, as i said if its based on fiction (e.g. star wars) then i enjoy it, but if its meant to be reality but then obviously fails, i get annoyed.
