almost, but not quite. Watching ANY movie (old or new) at home on a tv is totally different than watching the same movie in the theater.
i've never made this an issue of acting ability. with a character like the joker, the visuals play a HUGE role in the overall impression that the audience gets. my opinion is that the visual impression a movie makes in the theater is totally different than the visual impression a movie makes at home.
watching ANY movie at home isn't the same as watching it in the theater. age of the movie doesn't matter.
i mean, ask yourself this, all things being equal, would you rather watch a movie at an IMAX theater or on a 13 inch black and white TV in your basement?
do you think that a person that saw the movie at the IMAX would come away with the same overall impression of the movie as someone that watched it on the 13 inch? hmmmm... i wonder......
what the fuck are you talking about here? i'm younger than you are, you dumbass. also, i haven't once said that everyone saying that ledger>jack is wrong, or that i disagree.
all i've said is that if you haven't seen both in theaters, it is hard to make a fair comparison.
again, the age you were when it came out doesn't matter as much as how old you were when you saw it in the theaters. i mean, if some local theater recently had a showing of the 1989 version of batman and you went and saw it, i would respect your opinion on it just as much as someone that saw it on the original opening night 20 years ago.
BTW, you still haven't showed me where i said it was impossible to rewatch an old movie.
all you've done is shown that i don't think that watching it on tv is the same as watching it in the theater.
again, i ask, why do you think those two statements are the same thing?
