My memory of Batman Begins is that it had quite a gothic feel - but I may be remembering it wrong. I need to see it again.
I'm getting the feeling now, after a day has elapsed, that TDK is a film that would grow on me the more times I watched it and I'm beginning to suspect that it is actually a very good film. I had a strange contradictory reaction to it initially - "that was a terrible film, but I want to watch it again straight away!". I think the main thing that turned me off it was Christian Bale's performance. I think that no matter how many times I watched it I'd still find Christian Bale's performance poor.
