The Dark Knight. Biggest fucking letdown of 08! *SOME SPOILERS*

I said I liked the first movie alot and that had alot of character development. Second movie was pretty boring in comparison.

Well not quite, however let me explain myself.

I thoroughly enjoyed Batman Begins it was a really good movie in all aspects imo, however this direct sequel is horrible.

There was too much talking in this movie, way too much and about nothing really in particular it was like the writers were trying to drag out the movie as much as possible (went for over 2 hours) but there wasn't enough plot coverage.

Alot of the action sequences were fucking lame and not very believable like batman destroying a large car by landing on it and not injuring himself as well as knocking out large amounts of guys with 1 hit kills.
Also The Joker rigging a hospital full of enough explosives to level it but nobody took notice? BULLSHIT.

Some parts were funny, others were cheesy but overall too much incohesive rambling between the main characters. I won't spoil anything but one of the characters ends up dying.

The first half of the movie was really really boring, like people started talking amongst themselves in the cinema because they were losing interest.

HOWEVER, the second half of the movie completely redeems itself.
It's like one half and the other were directed by 2 different people.

The second half suddenly becomes frantic and action packed, lots of cool sequences even a lamborghini getting demolished after being thrashed around Gotham City.
Two Face was cool and it was even cooler how he was transformed.

The Joker wasn't too bad either, however I DO NOT believe Heath Ledger should win an award it wasn't THAT good.
There were lots of parts where he could've been more sadistic and violent however its like they wanted to keep the movie rather tame to avoid rating increase so more people could watch it.

Another stupid part was bat vision which allowed Batman to see 360 degrees in the surrounding area it was so fucking gimmicky, the Bat Bike however was badass.


So thats all I can think of right now, overall I'd give this movie an 8/10 only because the ending was so badass. But I enjoyed Iron Man much better even though its story was alot more shallow.

I don't give a fuck what the professionals think because personally they are not always right and hype the fuck out of things. GTAIV anybody?

I'm not saying this movie downright sucked, I'm saying it was the biggest dissapointment of 08 for me.

I loved the first one and had alot of hype for this sequel.
Whatever, go see the movie for yourself and then come back to me.

Atleast I've already fucking seen it and can talk.
 
I know 4 people who have seen an advanced screening and they all said it was amazing; the best comic book movie in a long time and the best movie of 2008 so far. It's 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. You're an idiot.
