The blog had some well written points, and I agree that most concepts that live in an extreme are bad, but they lost me about 3/4 of the way thru when it became less about facts, and more about slippery slope arguments and emotional reactions.
 
Heh. The irony can be found in the argument against extremes that devolved into extremes.

I agree that the blog does a reasonable job of explaining a position that does not believe in individual rights. Unfortunately, that position is rife with inconsistency and emotion.
 
Well, considering "libertarian" was coined as a term to describe anarcho-socialists, yes, I'd say it's wrong to conflate "libertarian" and "anarcho-capitalism." Libertarianism necessitates neither capitalism nor socialism. Hell, it doesn't even necessitate anarchism as most American libertarians are actually minarchists.
