Some blogger posted this on Dailykos. I'm reposting it here because it explains perfectly my feelings on libertarianism. Dangerous, I know, because many of you are going to dismiss this entirely and focus solely on the website it was posted on. But whatevs! I didn't bold the important parts because fuck you, that's why.

I've never seen such obsession with a candidate that has yet to win anything other than a primary.

Watching the liberal media get their panties in a twist over Rand Paul is so amusing to me.

not in Buffalo, Memphis, or New Orleans either.

Anyways, if you are a white restaurant owner, and you don't give a black man a free meal, you are racist.

I support a black restaurant owner's right to kick a KKK member out of his restaurant.

Considering that blacks don't have money, that would be hard to do, since they can't open one up in the first place. If they do, it fails every time.

Well that depends. If the KKK guy come in there wearing his garbs, chanting hatred, yes. If the guy is wearing regular clothes, not getting on a tirade, and just coming in to order.. but then again they wouldn't be kicking the guy out for being white, but for other reasons.

Why would a KKK guy come into a restaurant anyway?

I am not sure how Paul's views are "dangerous." Further, how does Libertarian philosophy endanger equality under the law?... Also, what the fuck is up with the subsequent slippery slope arguments if you do away with CRA den da big bad employdrrs will make u slave.

you really need to ask that?

HE WOULD ALLOW A "NO BLACKS ALLOWED!" SIGN!!!

the other side's argument is "if we don't force equality then nobody will be equal!"

I want to how private discrimination is a dangerous thing?

Except some are more equal than others.

In actual truth, libertarians are the exact opposite of the Prophets of Perfecting Humanity.

Those Prophets include communists, fascists, national socialists, democrats, social democrats, neoconservatives, progressives, and generally those of the Left.

I want a libertarian society precisely because I believe in the utter depravity that is possible with man.

I liked the aspect of absolute principles serving themselves rather than the best outcome for a given situation.

At the same time, finding that line between ideology and practicality really is the great white whale of politics.

Is it racist is a Turk kicks are Armenian wearing an Armenian power t-shirt out of their restaurant?

Then the guy wearing the WP T-shirt sues, and gets laughed out of court. It's kind of like you don't go to a Synagogue and wear a swastika armband.
