Having just read this book i'm very happy to hear that this is being made into a film.

I was wondering if any other of Dan Browns book will be optioned, i think they all have the possibility of being turned into books, even the lesser known ones Digital Fortress and Deception Point.

I think I read somewhere that the movie of the Da Vinci Code will be an amalgamation of DVC and Angels and Demons... could just have been a rumour though...

I'd certainly be interested in Digital Fortress as a movie. They'll probably wait to see how DVC goes first though.

the da vinci code is excellent, if u enjoy reading then get it. i think digital fortress is excellent and angels and demons is good. i didn't think much of deception point, it was good but just wasn't as good as the other 3.

paul bettany has been signed to play silas even though christopher ecclstone was tipped to play that part, sir ian mackellan is to play teabing and even though tom hanks is a good actor i just cant imagin him as robert langdon

I would recomend all the books. Of them all i would say the Da Vinci code is the best. Excellent story all about the Holy Grail and Priory of Sion.
Angles and Demons is good, about the Pope and religion. The ending is a little far fetched but a good read.
Deception point deals with a NASA discovery, a presedential election, very interesting.
Just reading Digital Fortress at the moment and its very enjoyable.

My fave dan brown books (in order)
1. angels and demons
2. da vinci code
3. deception point
4. digital fortress

awful writing, engrossing yet cliched plots.

I think Digital Fortress would make a good movie really... not much happened actually. I thought the weakest novel.

I was interest in seeing the movie when it was made until I heard that bloody Tom Hanks got the lead. Totally uninterested in it as a result.

I think you're spot on there.

And like Goldilocks, my heart sank when I heard about Tom Hanks.

Don't get me wrong, he's a decent enough actor and all that, but I couldn't picture him in that particular role.

I wouldn't have thought of him, but now you mention it, I could see it working.

Mind you, I'd never have thought of Paul Bettany for Silas, but I can almost see that working.

peoget sidetracked with the hype

BUT THE DA VINCI code was GOOD BUT not his best work

angels and demaons
and deception point bout out rank that book

At least they've got an actual french actor to play Sophie.
I had visions of someone like J-Lo trying to put on an accent :)

Audrey's an excellent actor & can do a lot more than look like a cute pixie. You only have to watch 'A very long engagement' to see that.
