I LOVE Tom Hanks' portrayal of Langdon, completely perfect! And the little known french actress who plays Sofie is again, perfect..

I CANNOT WAIT for Angels and Demons!!

I heard Vittoria was being played by Monica Belluci and that it's in production next year but nothing confirmed on IMDB yet
 
The book was better, as the film seemed to have chopped scenes out. It was so dark, I could barely watch it. I kept thinking my tele was on its way out.
But all said and done I loved it and Tom Hanks brilliant
 
Tedious, dopey film made of a drivel-filled book. And Hanks is usually so reliable too. Ah well, we all make mistakes, I guess.

Saw it at the Cinema and had just re-read the book in anticipation and so the film was slightly dissapointing.

Was on Anytime the other week (Probably month now I think about it) and I watched it as I had nothing else to watch and loved it, so much better with a gap between book and film and any gaps missed weren't so obvious because the book wasn't so fresh in my mind so I could enjoy the film itself without comparing.
 
I hadn't read the book in a while when I saw the film, so it was still pretty fresh to me, which is the best way to watch it. You are able to see the film and the book as two seperate entities that way. I thought it was a good film, it could've been tightened up here and there but thoroughly enjoyable and I bought the DVD after seeing it the cinema so it's safe to say I enjoyed it.

Bit annoyed that A&D won't be out until winter next year, it's a heck of a long wait but I reckon it has the makings of a better movie than DVC did. The plot seems much more movie like than DVC.
 
Actually I enjoyed the game much more than the film (in a minority here I suspect)....but neither has motivated me to read the book.
 
points of note for me from the film \ book are that

Is Jesus was just this ordinary bloke then how did they know in the first place they had to cover up his bloodline ?

And also surely there would be more than one surviving member of the bloodline. If she had died in the car crash at the time it would all be over and if she can't have children then it could end too
 
I don't normally get all het up and rant against something, so consider this my one and only one for this year.


The Da Vinci code

Well on the plus side I quite like Tom Hanks as an actor so would normally go see this movie.

On the negative side its The Da vinci code again !

Don't get me wrong its an interesting enough story its just the hype where people start believing its a true story with all the facts proved.

Sad really dvc has become like a virus that spreaRAB and replicates everywhere, probably be a few cults growing up in a few years.

sigh if only I had 3 wishes I could, after wishing for world peace and an end to hunger, wish that everyone involved in book and film were dropped on the nearest desert island and forgotten.

see im nice all three wishes would benefit humanity.
